Imidodisulfuryl fluoride lithium salt
Other name: Lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide
CAS: 171611-11-3
Imidodisulfuryl fluoride lithium salt (LiFSI) can be used as the next generation of secondary lithium ion battery electrolyte lithium salt to replace lithium hexafluorophosphate because of its high stability (not decomposed below 200℃), excellent low temperature performance, good hydrolysis stability and more friendly environment.

Product use
Lithium fluoride sulfonimide salt can be used as a lithium ion battery electrolyte additive, applied in the electrolyte of rechargeable lithium battery, can effectively reduce the high and low temperature resistance of SEI layer formed on the surface of the electrode plate at low temperature, reduce the capacity loss of lithium battery in the process of placement, so as to improve the battery capacity and electrochemical performance of the battery, can also be used as a battery electrolyte; Can be used as polymerization catalyst; It can also be used as an antistatic agent in the industrial field.
LIFSI, its predecessor LiPF6, is the most widely used solute lithium salt for lithium batteries commercially, but LiPF6 has problems such as poor thermal stability and easy hydrolysis, which is easy to cause rapid attenuation of battery capacity and bring safety risks. The new electrolyte solute lithium salt LiFSI has much better physical and chemical properties than LiPF6:
Higher thermal stability – LiFSI melting point is 145℃, decomposition temperature is higher than 200℃; Better electrical conductivity;
Better thermodynamic stability – the LiFSI electrolyte has good compatibility with the two main components of the SEI film, and only some of its components will be replaced at 160 ° C.
