- Description
- Inquiry
Niobium hydroxide property: also known as niobic acid, and tantalic acid together commonly known as earth acid. In fact, it is hydrated niobium oxide Nb2O5·xH2O, in which the number of hydration depends on the preparation method, aging degree and other factors. Hydrogen niobium oxide in 150 ~ 200 ℃ will remove most of the water, but the rest of the water and niobium oxide in combination with very strong, must be heated to a temperature of 400 ~ 400 ℃ or more to get final removal of all the water into Nb2O5. Niobium hydroxide has a hermaphroditic property, which is decomposed in acidic medium by Nb(OH)5Nb(OH)4+ OH -, and in alkaline medium by Nb(OH)5NbO3 – + h+ 2H2O. Niobium hydroxide is insoluble in water, difficult to dissolve in HCl, HNO3 and other inorganic acids, easy to dissolve in fluorohydric acid, oxalic acid, citric acid and other organic oxygen-containing acids. Niobium hydroxide is obtained by hydrolysis, and niobium hydroxide can be obtained by hydrolysis of various niobium compounds. Niobium hydroxide is the raw material for the preparation of various niobium compounds.
