Zinc stannate is mainly used as flame retardant and smoke inhibitor in plastics industry, which is an environmentally friendly product to replace antimony trioxide (Sb2O3). It is non-toxic, safe and easy to use. The flame retardant properties of zinc stannate and zinc hydroxystannate are the same, and the application scope mainly depends on the operating temperature of the polymer. Zinc hydroxystannate is only used in the materials with the temperature lower than 180℃.
